Council of Uvetichi
Congress in Uvetichah (in historiography also known as the Congress in Vitichev or Litichevsky Congress) — two meetings of the older generation of Russian princes, held in August 1100 for reconciliation with each other and the trial of Prince Davyd Igorevich. The venue of the Congress was the city of Uvetichah on the right Bank of the Dnieper near Kiev (now vytachiv village, Kiev region).
"The tale of bygone years", which is the main source for the events, presents them twice more under the year 1097, 1098-1100 then schematically under for years.
== Background ==

The collection was preceded by severe conflict over Volyn and Galician townships.
